Erica Nicole Baker

Erica Nicole Baker disappeared in 1999, while walking her aunt's dog, in Kettering, Ohio. A suspect was prosecuted, but Erica has never been found. So what actually happened?

We start with the Page of Pentacles, reversed, crossed by the King of Pentacles, which is also read reversed, here. This is a younger person with a tip or a story that is, for some reason, refuted. It is interesting to find it as the backbone of the reading. The King of Pentacles is a man who has somehow used either his power or his skill in an unethical way in connection to Erica's case. This is based by the three of pentacles, reversed. A general "aura", if you will, of not paying close attention to details, or not being very good at what one does.....either as employment or in other aspects of life.....plays a role, here, too. Then, we have the ten of swords. This is not a good card to find in a reading for a missing person. The ten of swords is a card of violence, and of violent endings, and it is a clear suggestion that Erica may have met with such a situation.

The Page of Cups appears as someone with reliable testimony, but this testimony has yet to be heard. I am inclined to think that this is the person who, one day, finds the evidence, or finds Erica. In the meantime, the two of cups, reversed, appears to show that while one person is actually responsible for Erica's disappearance, two people participated in the cover-up. There may have been a quarrel underway at the time it happened, as well.

The King of Wands, reversed, comes up in the place of fears. This is someone who is not likely to listen to any new information, and may be someone responsible for decisions concerning any new searches or legal actions connected to Erica's case. In the place of environment, we get the World, reversed. This is a suggestion that someone may have withheld information in this case, with ulterior motives. The Page of Swords appears as a hope, and this is a hope of hearing from someone who can testify to Erica's location and state what happened on the day she went missing. The final outcome is the Moon, reversed. Not only does this show that there has been deception in this case, but now there are practical considerations being imposed. The hope of finding Erica rests with the Page of Cups, who has not yet come into the picture.

For a location, the three cards from the suit of pentacles, connected to the persons of interest, almost scream "earth", as in burial. Such symbolism would also take us north. But then, we have the two of cups, which tells of shallow water and takes us west. As both cards are reversed, I would not expect the direction to be very far in either direction. The World, reversed, also suggests that there was not a lot of travel. The reading suggests that Erica was taken two or three miles west, or northwest, and either buried in a very shallow grave or just abandoned. Whenever an interpretation to a reading ends this way, I always hope I am wrong, and I always hope the victim is found alive and well, in spite of the reading.

Jonathan Shay

Jonathan Shay disappeared in July of this year from his Missouri home, along with his cousin. His cousin was found a day later, but not Jonathan. So what happened to him and where is he? I will put the question to the cards.

We start with Temperance crossed by the Moon. Temperance is a successful combination or a well planned event, and the Moon, which is read upside right, can either mean psychic awareness, deception, or secret foes. The latter seems to fit the best, here. This basis lends itself to a scenario in which the boys may have been stalked, and the perpetrator knew when to find them unsupervised, and did so. The Moon points to an agenda of some sort, hinting that Jonathan was the victim.

This is preceded by Strength, reversed, which tells a clear tale of abuse; when this card falls reversed, it often indicates abuses of power or authority, and preying on weaker individuals. Next, we have the card of secrets, the High Priestess. Since she is upside right, I will assume that she represents an aspect of this situation that is in Jonathan's favor, somehow. We are still dealing with hidden influences. This is crowned by the World, which speaks of completion of some kind, but as this is in the realm of possibility, not past or present, we shall return to it later.

The card that follows, and shows some tension in Jonathan's situation, is the three of swords, reversed. This card often comes up to describe infighting between family members, custody battles, and ugly political/personal strife within peer groups. In reversal, which is how we find the card, it warns that the subject of the reading has compromised another in some way, and there either is, or has been, a confrontation. This makes me wonder of Jonathan witnessed a crime, or saw and heard something that could have created problems for someone in his environment, had the information become known.

The first card on the staff is the Magician. Here, the Magician is someone who knows his job, and he is in the place of fears. The message is clear: someone connected to Jonathan's disappearance is worried about the presence of an expert who can do his job and find Jonathan. In the place of general environment, we find the four of pentacles, reversed. This is wasted resources and delay. Somehow, it seems almost deliberate. In the place of hopes, we find the Hermit, reversed, which gives us the message that someone has deliberately stalled the investigation by sending searchers in the wrong direction. And finally, the reading ends with the Tower. Jonathan will be found, and someone will be held accountable. Sadly, the Tower does not predict a very happy ending, either for Jonathan or the perpetrator. This is what I read as a very strong possibility that Jonathan has met with foul play---the accountability described by the Tower. I always hope I am wrong about that type of assessment, however. Possible locations appear, via the Moon and the High Priestess, to be places where there is water; enough water to hide evidence. The World suggests that he will be found, possibly outside. Because of its position, we are being warned that the resolution of this case will not be handed to searchers and investigators; it will only come after efforts. The other clue about whereabouts has to do with the situation of a person: the four of pentacles reversed tells us that someone connected to this case has recently suffered a setback or a material loss. This is someone who should be interviewed.

Jacob Wetterling

Jacob Wetterling disappeared in October of 1989 in Minnesota, when he was eleven years old. His parents were visiting friends, and had given Jacob and his brother permission to ride their bicycles. A stranger took Jacob at gunpoint, and that was the last time he was seen by family or friends. Recently, detectives in Minnesota developed a lead on the case, and I will ask the Tarot about what happened to Jacob.

We begin with the eight of wands, reversed, crossed by the five of swords, also read reversed here. Whoa! The arrows of jealousy mixed up with vengeance and rage. This describes the circumstances that somehow led to this crime and warns of a violent personality on the part of the perpetrator. It is based by the Emperor, reversed, telling us a little more about the perpetrator; not only is he given to spurts of violence, he is immature in the ways of the world, and possibly lived with his parents at the time Jacob went missing.

In the past, we see the Page of Cups, who, I believe, is Jacob. This would be an imaginative young person whose nature is kind and helpful. He falls upside right, so he is not part of the problem, here, but either a victim or part of the solution. Pages often indicate children in readings. Next, we encounter the Magician, reversed, and he describes the general lack of direction from which this case has suffered. It seems that leads have been difficult to follow, and no one expected a child to disappear near Jacob's home, therefore; law enforcement did not have much training for such tragedies. But now, in the near future, we have the three of wands, granting local police assistance and practical help from other departments. Perhaps the new lead will shed some light.

In the place of self perception, we find the Queen of Swords, reversed. This is an adult woman who has had information about Jacob and his whereabouts for many years, yet has refused to come forward. She is obstructing justice, and has no empathy for anyone connected to Jacob. The environment is described by the nine of cups, reversed. This card not only speaks of flaws in plans when it falls reversed; it warns of alcoholism and drug addiction. It points to excesses of food and drink. Seeing it in this position tells us that addiction is likely part of the picture in the perpetrator's life. In the place of hopes, we find the four of cups, reversed. From this, we can see that the perpetrator is hoping to "get on with his life", and simply skip any accountability for Jacob's disappearance. Reversed, the four of cups signifies new relationships and new opportunities. But this is only a hope; it is what the guilty party is attempting. The final outcome gives us the four of pentacles reversed. This is a warning of setbacks and material loss. The case is far from solved, and it will take time and commitment.

The only part of the reading that indicates death is the beginning; the reversed eight of wands, crossed by the five of swords. From this, I feel that Jacob probably died at the hands of his kidnapper almost immediately. It also appears that Jacob was taken somewhere by car, and either left or buried somewhere that has posts, possibly three posts (as in, the three of wands) sticking up from the ground. There may be a small cliff, ravine, or ditch that would help hide him. I also believe that the perpetrator's family helped him hide his crime, all these years. I always hope I am wrong when it looks as if someone has been murdered, so I will keep hoping and praying that Jacob is found safe.

Update On The Hoggle Children

... missing Hoggle children to better plan acommunity search this weekend

It has been over a year since two toddlers, Jacob and Sarah Hoggle, of Montgomery County, Maryland, were last seen in the company of their mother. Their mother is the main suspect in their disappearance, and has been ruled incompetent by the court, and thereby held in a mental hospital. Efforts to find the children have been completely frustrated.

So for an update, I just asked the question, "Where are they?" Here is what I got. For the past in this situation, I drew three cards; the ace of swords, reversed, the Hanged Man, reversed, and the seven of cups, also reversed. The ace of swords is screaming obstacles and abuse, which is already self evident. The Hanged Man is reversed, and he wants us to know that there has been some false information floated into the media and into evidence, in an effort to keep the investigation from going in the right direction. As we can see that the card of imagination and delusion, the seven of cups, has fallen reversed here, it is obvious that the aforementioned false information has been generated deliberately, rather than by accident.

The present has given us the four of cups, reversed, the five of swords, reversed, and the seven of pentacles. The reversed four of cups is usually a good message, of new relationships and pursuits, but here, it is a bot troubling. It speaks of a desire to leave the two missing children "in the past", and "get on with life" without them! Without ever solving the crime. The five of swords is here next, reversed. This is guilty knowledge and trickery. This card often comes up reversed when there is a lot of deception in a matter, especially about violence and violent crime. The seven of pentacles is next, telling us that someone here has only "done his or her job", and the unsolved crime is, indeed, the ripe fruit on the tree that is being reaped.

In the future, we see the ten of swords, the Empress, reversed, and the five of pentacles. The ten of swords is often a card of violence, but I believe the message here is that the future will actually bring closure, perhaps an unwelcome closure, to this case. The one who has sown deceit and non-resolution will have to work with those who want to find Sarah and Jacob. The Empress reversed is a mother who does not behave like a mother, and whose "love", if it may be called that, is shallow. The last card is the five of cups. This card, as a location, would, at face value, suggest a church. Other ideas, especially interpreted in relation to the presence of the reversed Empress, suggest a place that is sacred, in traditional ways, to the person indicated by the Empress.....or......the "mother" figure, here. We have bits of water symbolism here and there, in the Hanged Man and the cards from the suit of cups. The type of scene indicated by these cards gives a collective picture of a stream fed or river fed pond, one that is not terribly big, but big enough to hide something. Yet the earth symbolism is also compelling, as in the seven of pentacles and the five of pentacles. Based on this reading, answers or evidence would appear to start somewhere between five or seven miles away from where the Empress was last seen with either child, moving north or northeast, as indicated by swords. No cameras and enough privacy to remain hidden. The reversed Hanged Man seems to point us not only to a place, but to a motive; this card speaks of selfishness and refusal to make any necessary sacrifice when we see it reversed.

Where Is Lisa Stone?

Lisa Stone, of Dallas, Texas, disappeared in June of 2010. She was last seen at her home, and then simply vanished, with no explanation. So what happened to her and where is she?

This reading begins with the Star, reversed, crossed by the two of pentacles. This is a message of finality of one matter, in the wake of the launch of another. It is also a hint that two or more people may know what happened to Lisa. We find the seven of cups beneath this, which tells us that there has been a lot of speculation, and misinformation, but the right door has not yet been knocked on. We also get the six of pentacles, reversed, in the past; informing us that there was some jealousy or some unfair advantage taken prior to Lisa's disappearance. This had to do with material possessions, money, and income. This card sometimes comes up to describe a situation in which one party decides not to enable another financially. So it appears that disenfranchisement of an "enablee" may serve as a motive.

The Wheel of Fortune rules, at the moment, and it is upside right. The perpetrator has, so far, evaded justice. The eight of swords appears as a current description of the case, and things are at a standstill, right now. Lack of direction is the reason for this; investigators do not know how to prove any of their suspicions. If the eight of swords were to describe a place, it would be a mucky place with shallow water, where something or someone could be trapped, indefinitely.

On the staff, we begin with the Devil, reversed. This is a good sign, because upright, the Devil speaks of bondage. This tells us that the perpetrator is worried about the eventual release of information and the emergence of the truth. The general environment is described by the two of swords, which gives us, in this case, a similar message as the eight of swords.....stalemate. Also, many decks have references to water on both the eight of swords and the two of swords; still water and no movement. The hopes of the perpetrator are described by the seven of pentacles, reversed. This is a pretty obvious idea, here. Someone does not want Lisa found. The seven of pentacles reversed gives a picture of efforts to find Lisa never reaching fruition. The last card we have, the final outcome, is the Magician. Someone, somewhere, who knows how to manage a criminal case involving a missing victim, will put the case together and solve it. It will happen as a result of expertise in technology and in detective work.

For locations, swords often point us east, but in this case, I do not think Lisa is far away. Both of the cards that spoke to me of environment, the eight and two of swords, seemed to be suggesting no movement. The Star, also, suggests water; perhaps water being drained or poured from one source to another. I hope Lisa is found soon. I wish the reading had been more positive.

How Can Sierra Lamar Finally Be Located?

Sierra Lamar, who disappeared in March of 2012, has still not been found. I have done a couple of readings for her,  most recently, this one, dealing with Antolin Garcia, the suspect in her case. I recently got a question about possibly drawing a map, but I do not know the area where she was last seen, and I am a bit hesitant to try. Unfamiliarity with such subject matter is a serious limitation for such an endeavor. After pondering what I might be able to do, I decided to try a horoscope spread for Sierra. Sometimes astrological references are better for the determination of location than other types of divination. So my attempt follows.

In the first house, the house of ego, personality, and physical appearance, we get the King of Swords. Obviously, this is not Sierra, but as he falls upright, and as court cards in the suit of swords are often law enforcement, I think it is safe to assume that this man is either an officer or a prosecutor investigating the case. The second house, the house of money and possessions, gives us the four of wands, reversed. We have seen the four of wands in other readings pertaining to Sierra, and I think we still need to check the symbolism indicated by the card for location: this is a card of happy family celebrations, harvest completed, havens or refuges, or parks where people have picnics or outdoor parties. Once again, we see it reversed, so while the meaning remains the same, there is a chance that this location has either been abandoned or is not visited very often. In the third house, the house of short journeys, communications relating to business, memory and logic, and power; we find the Queen of Cups, reversed. This is a woman who is somehow connected to the case, and she has been hiding evidence and prevaricating to investigators. It is interesting that we see her in the house of "short journeys". She not only knows Sierra's location, but may have visited it. The fourth house, the "home environment", and coincidentally, the last days of life, give us the ace of wands, reversed. I do not think that we are being told of Sierra's home where she resided with her family; I think this is the "home environment" of the main crime scene. Wands point us south, but this wand is reversed; I think it is possible that the suspect began to go south with Sierra, but changed his mind, yet did not travel as far as he had originally intended. Sierra has not moved, but her locations has been "clouded", or obscured, at least once.

The fifth house, of creativity, love affairs, and children, presents the Devil, reversed. This is actually good news for the investigation, because when the Devil falls upside right, that speaks of bondage. Reversed, the meaning is release from bondage. The fifth house also points us to amusements and pleasures, which, once again, ties in with the imagery of a place used for recreation. In house six, the house of day to day life, work relationships, and domestic animals, we find the High Priestess. She is a symbol of secrets, and she also links to water. Once again, we have the reference of hidden influences, and we also have a feminine influence. But this is being done quite casually. In the seventh house, of marriage and divorce, close relationships, close partnerships, and the relation of all of those things to the general public, we have the Empress. The Empress is the "mother" card of the Tarot. Something that grabbed my attention is the remote and almost archaic symbolism on the card; the myrtle tree and branches traditionally go along with the Empress, and her crown traditionally has twelve stars. Venus is also symbolic, and sometimes she is pictured with seven pearls around her neck. These elements, somehow, deserve consideration. In the eighth house, which represents death, joint finances, and transitions, we see the Wheel of Fortune. This card represents the laws of cause and effect, and also can foretell an unexpected stroke of luck. As it is in the eighth house, which is death, I think we are being told that we may find the crime scene, as well as Sierra. The reference to cause and effect may refer to evidence and the presence of DNA.

In the ninth house, the house of long journeys, the social "establishment", law, and protection, we get the nine of cups. This card speaks of having plenty of resources, and is also a reference to "home", but home here is a place to eat and drink. The cups take us west, and the ninth house refers to travel, as does the third house, which, incidentally, also has a card from the suit of cups, pointing us a little to the west. The "home" symbolism tells us that the suspect(s) did not take Sierra too far from home, though. The tenth house, of social standing, career ambitions, relationships with superiors, and "father" relationships, gives us the Tower, which is a card of imprisonment and ruin. Overthrow of existing methods of investigation are indicated here, along with disruption of some type; yet all this may bring much needed enlightenment. Someone connected to the investigation appears to either be consciously or unconsciously "helping" the suspect, rather than helping Sierra's family find Sierra. The eleventh house, of hopes, hobbies, and friends, gives us the seven of cups. The seven of cups is a card of dreams, sometimes fantasy, but not of direct knowledge. The message on this is clear; Sierra's peers and friends do not know where she is. It is interesting to note that there is another "water" or "west" reference, though. In house number twelve, of secret, self undoing, and secret enemies, we find the Hanged Man. This is often a card of sacrifice and meditation, but I also see it as another reference to trees, a single tree, and water.

I hope this reading has helped. If I knew the area at all, it would be easier for me to link the symbolism to actual features in the landscape. I hope evidence, along with Sierra, can be found.

Is The Investigation For Teresa Sievers On The Right Track?

As the news has reported nationwide, Dr. Teresa Sievers, of Florida, was dead inside of her Fort Myers home in June. Two suspects have been charged, and one of them is, apparently, a friend of Sievers's husband. A reader sent me a comment inquiring about this murder, and I will see what light the cards can shed on this.

The reading begins with the Knight of Wands crossed by the Page of Pentacles. I will assume, since the knight is upside right, that he is a man who is part of the investigation, rather than a bystander or a perpetrator. He is energetic and creative, and leaves no stone unturned. He is crossed by the Page of Pentacles, which is read upside right, here, also. This is either someone who works as an assistant in gathering information, or the information, itself. Some valid information has already been culled by authorities. Beneath this is the nine of pentacles, reversed. This tells of a possible loss of home, security, or friends who are connected to the same. This is the trail that was followed in making the arrest. The card that follows is the three of swords, reversed. This card indicates that there is some treachery, or false information, involved. There has already been at least one disappointment in putting together evidence for this case.

A potential problem shows itself in the form of the Queen of Swords, reversed. When this card falls reversed, a woman who abuses authority is often described. This could be someone in the legal field whose decisions and actions are stalling the investigation, or it could be a female witness who refuses to come forward with information. She has potential influence, but has not succeeded in stopping the truth yet. The eight of swords, reversed, is the next card, and it ties in with the reversed queen's contributions to the situation, yet it is the result of the treachery indicated by the reversed three of wands that we saw earlier. So we know that there are already problems with either testimony or evidence.

The Knight of Cups falls reversed in the place of worries; the person most worried about the outcome of the investigation is a man in his late twenties or early thirties, possibly with light brown hair and hazel eyes. He comes on as sweet and very romantic, but as he falls reversed in this reading, we know that there is some sort of fraud and dishonesty involved, as a result of his presence. The next card, describing the opinion of those involved, is the Queen of Cups, reversed. Here we have the victim, but seen by someone as a villain! As she is represented by cups, along with the Knight of Cups, she and this knight are connected. So yes, investigators appear to be asking the right questions. As a fear, we get the High Priestess, who represents all things hidden. This worries the reversed Knight of Cups very much: what is known by law enforcement that hasn't been revealed? The last card is Strength, reversed. This brings us back to abuse of power, which appears to somehow be a stumbling block. It does appear that law enforcement is looking in the right directions.

Why Won't Anyone Come Forward For Kyron Horman?

So why won't anyone who knows either what happened to Kyron Horman, or knows what may
have happened to Kyron Horman, come forward and testify? Because he has been missing
for five years, I decided to publish a reading on this question.

We start with a basis of the Empress, crossed by the six of pentacles, which is read
reversed in this case. The message is already quite clear: the Empress is the mother,
and the six of pentacles, reversed, says, "I want something I haven't gotten from you!" We have a
witness whose demands, either monetary or legal, have not, apparently, been met by
Kyron's family! Almost extortion.

The past in this case involves the ten of swords, which can be violence, or simply a
final ending. Along with this is the four of swords, reversed, which is a return to action,
after a period of dormancy. That is an interesting description of the past: a rather jarring
end, and yet a return to everyday activities.....it also tells us that there has been some
recent, if not publicly shared, activity in the case. The very best thing that can happen
here is represented by the ace of cups, which is a wonderful card for this position. It
means the renewal of hope, followed by the desires of the heart becoming reality. We
can only hope and pray. This is followed by the Wheel of Fortune, which is a great
thing happening, but as a surprise, and almost completely by chance. It seems, here,
that it is related to written and spoken words, information, and to a young person.

The Queen of Wands comes up in the place of self image here; this is a woman,
and her perspective of herself. She is someone who can help locate Kyron; she
sees herself as a protector of sorts. The card describing her environs is the four
of wands, reversed. This tells a story of family life, and changing situations, and
also a certain amount of clouded happiness and denial about the same. It is hard
to relate that to testimony about Kyron, however! The eight of cups appears to describe
this person's regrets, and this card appears when someone either works for something
and decides against it, in the end, or gets what he wants, yet is disappointed by it.
The last card is the King of Wands, who is usually a family man, and is usually
married. While the queen appears in the place of imaginations of sorts, the king is
part of reality, making him one of the factors to which any witnesses react. The
Empress and the King of Wands....the two people who want Kyron home the most.

Sadly, it appears, from the beginning of the reading, that witnesses have held out
over compensation of some sort. Vicious.

Sierra Lamar Update

Someone sent me a question concerning the direction of the Sierra Lamar case. It is disturbing to see another year pass by, with no resolution. Here is a link to Find Sierra Lamar, and I will attempt to do another reading. Sometimes, I am not sure there is anything to add to a cold case with another reading, but a lot of time has gone by in Sierra's case.

Someone recently asked me if there would be any answers in court, as the defendant in her case, Antolin Garcia-Torres, has not entered a plea and will not cooperate. So I will update by asking if there will be any answers in court.

We start with the six of pentacles, reversed, crossed by the eight of cups. The six of pentacles usually appears reversed to describe bad debts and fraud; it raises my eyebrows a bit to see it at the core of the answer to a question on a matter such as this! It is crossed by the eight of cups, which in this case, is read reversed. This card is telling us a story of joy, happiness, and of matters spiritual getting abandoned for matters material. If I didn't know better, it would appear that Antolin did not get paid for something, and is patiently waiting for a payday of some sort! Or at least for his efforts to be rewarded.

In the background of the entire situation, we find the five of cups, reversed, which is all about expectations in this positions. Antolin was either waiting for an old friend, or had just been introduced, by an old friend, to someone new. The Page of Pentacles is also in the background. This involves communication or a message of some sort, about Sierra. So it appears that Antolin had either just met Sierra, had just been introduced, or had been told about her, and had attempted to find her that morning......the last day she was seen alive. The Queen of Pentacles also appears; she is a woman who has looked for Sierra since she disappeared, and has not given up. The five of pentacles appears as a sign of things to come, and in answer to a question like this, I would have to say that it is new information or testimony that is finally going to be heard.

The ace of swords appears in the place of fears; this describes Antolin's fear about the justice system, specifically that new and relevant information will be revealed, and it also describes some growing fears among Sierra's friends and family that Antolin will not be held accountable. The environment surrounding this is, once again, about a reward or "getting paid", because the next card is the ten of pentacles. Sometimes, this card tells of money that was spent on a house or a business, but; once again, I cannot see how this would play into a question like this one. Temperance comes up in the place of hopes. There is still a waiting game being played......but then,,,,,the reading ends with the nine of wands, upside down. This is the very opposite of waiting! This is an obstacle thrown in the defendant's path. Still, there are going to be delays, as the defendant has no intention of cooperating. Any interactions he has with the outside world, particularly where he or those close to him get any financial resources, will be watched and scrutinized.

It still appears as is Sierra is not far from where she lived. Outside, in a place where there are small animals, such as gophers and turtles.

Update For Morgan Martin

Morgan Martin has been missing for almost three years. I have had several requests for an update, and there are times when I do not thing there is anything to add to what the cards have already told us, but the lack of progress in this case is disappointing. Something that I do not think was covered very well in the media has to do with testimony, tips to law enforcement, and possible suspects. I decided to ask the cards if there is any light to be shed on that.

We have a basis of the five of wands, reversed, crossed by the Star. There have clearly been some compromises in this case and some rather deliberate slights in the investigation. The Star is read reversed here, and it shows that there is a lot of doubt in police and their management of the search for Morgan. This is based by the Page of Cups, reversed. This page is a young person who has given false information to police. A little bit of digging, or re-interviewing the last persons to have seen Morgan will yield better information from this young person. The two of wands is in the past, this is a physical struggle, which Morgan lost. The three of swords appears as a strong possibility, which is in-fighting, and familial and possibly political strife. So we can see that there was a person police did not want to interview or charge, being protected at Morgan's expense. Then, we have the Queen of Cups, reversed. I do not like to see her here, because she represents a female who is either protecting a guilty party, obstructing justice with false testimony, or denying justice to Morgan and her family. Look for her to be connected to the guilty party as a lover, spouse, or very close family member.

The King of Pentacles appears in the general atmosphere of this whole matter, and he is ready to hear the truth when someone comes forward with it. Right now, his hands are tied by lack of evidence; he is waiting to either find Morgan or have enough evidence for charges in this case to stick. Not knowing exactly what happened is difficult, but murder case have been won without finding the victims, and in this age of DNA evidence, he knows it's possible to present such a case.....so says the Temperance card. In the middle of all this, the six of pentacles, reversed, says there is someone feeling that insistence on solving the case is somehow "unfair", or "asking too much"! But the reading ends with the three of pentacles, which is the card of skill, and in this case, the skill would be that of detectives and investigators. The suggestion is that the case will be solved by these skills; and that the biggest problem here is obstruction of justice by the woman represented by the reversed Queen of Cups.

Where Is Natalee Holloway?

Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba over ten years ago, and has never been found. She was legally declared dead in 2012, and over the weekend, CNN spoke with a man in Holland who claims he saw Natalee Holloway being chased through a construction site on foot, minutes before what appeared to be her death. So what happened? Lets see what the cards have to say.

This reading starts with the Page of Cups, reversed, crossed by the Queen of Cups. We have an obstacle, or a cover-up, being pushed and promoted by a woman. This woman feels that it is not really her problem, or Aruba's problem, to look for missing tourists. She is not American, and her home and workplace are near water. She is only concerned about the tourist industry, and not Natalee. Beneath this, we have the five of swords, which speaks to violence. We know that Natalee made the acquaintance of a violent person. This is validated by the two of wands, reversed, telling is that someone had an unnatural desire to "dominate" Natalee. The Lovers appears as a possible motive, showing us a struggle between profanity and purity. Also, as a location, it would reveal a destination of lovers, with manicured gardens and trees.

As a person who remains involved in the search for Natalee, we find the Empress. This is the "mother" card in the Tarot, and the message is clearly that Natalee's mother will not give up in the effort to find her.

The eight of swords comes up as the first card on the staff. This is Natalee's current enviroment: she was hidden, possibly somewhere close to plumbing or shallow water. As this could also indicate a small space or a cupboard, or a place that would require digging and cutting in order to expose, it could give credence to the new information about Natalee having been hidden in a building or on a construction site. The three of pentacles comes up next, supporting this. The three of pentacles is the card of the craftsman, particularly in building. I am drawn to want to look under the foundation where a beam is supported, or a brace, with an ornate window or sculpture. Next, we have the King of Cups, reversed, who is just as dishonest as the Queen, who showed up earlier. His money comes from people who travel to Aruba from foreign lands, and he has nothing to gain by cooperating with the investigation, so he has not. He also suspects that there may a murder case in the offing, but does not want to see it tried. It would be bad for business. The last card here is the Page of Wands, reversed. This is bad news and indecision. It would appear, at this writing, that Aruba has no plans to re-open the investigation and find out if the tipster is telling the truth. But.....it also appears that Natalee is hidden away somewhere in a place that is very much like what was described in the recent tip.

Who Killed Tiffany Nelson?

Nine year old Tiffany Nelson disappeared in 1994. In 2005, her remains and some of her personal effects were found, so her case is no longer a missing persons case, but a homicide case. Still, in all these years, there have been no clues, so I will put the question to the Tarot.

This reading starts with the Queen of Swords, reversed. She is crossed by the Hierophant. When this queen falls reversed. we usually find a woman who is narrow minded, bigoted, and violent. Here, we have her crossed by the Hierophant, so we see her in a situation involving Tiffany, and she is faced with a duty to do the right thing, yet finds excuses not to. Also, on a more mundane level, the Hierophant represents conformity and the careful following of directions. Could Tiffany have been run over by a driver who wasn't following laws for driving? Beneath these two cards falls the ten of pentacles, reversed, lending an air of a loss of family honor, or financial losses to the Queen's situation.

The action here is illustrated by the sex of swords, which is a card of travel. Something happened to Tiffany while sharing the roadway with someone who was travelling further than she was travelling. This is followed by the six of cups in the place of what was attempted; Tiffany was left in a place where someone hoped that no one would look for her, find her, or remember her. Next, we have Death. This speaks for itself, Tiffany was already deceased by the time she was reported missing. It really looks as if she was killed on the road by someone who did not want to report the accident or get her any medical attention.

In the fears of the perpetrator, we find the Hermit; so someone, possibly an older male, advised the perpetrator to keep quiet about Tiffany. In the place of environment, we find the High Priestess, once again, lending a feminine influence to this. The High Priestess also represents secrets, and as she falls upside right, she has rationalized her role here as somehow "justified", and does not feel any appropriate empathy for Tiffany or her family. The same goes for the man represented by the Hermit; he is without a conscience. This is how these individuals can think of themselves as worthy of love and friendship after all these years. The nine of cups fall reversed in the place of hopes....this is a fear on the part of the perpetrator, for not having done a good enough job of hiding all the evidence. And the reading ends with the three of swords, reversed. This is disorder and confusion. It's entirely possible, that by chance, the perpetrator will be confronted by some piece of evidence or testimony that will bring Tiffany justice, in the end. There is someone who either saw some part of this, or heard about it, who may be able to bring Tiffany's case to resolution.

Who Killed Antonia Yager?

Antonia, or Toni, Yager was found deceased in her apartment in Los Angeles, California in December of last year. Her murder is, as of yet, unsolved, and someone recently asked for my take on it. So I will see if the cards will shed any light on Toni's case.

The question I posed was, "Who killed Toni Yager, and why?" We have a main focus of the Knight of Cups crossed by Justice. As the knight is upside right, we will assume he is friend, not foe. Justice, as an entity and an institution, is involved, and is a force that challenges the Knight of Cups, somehow. In the background of the situation, we find the Knight of Wands, reversed, who I think is a likely suspect as the murderer. He is a man, perhaps a few years younger than the victim, and has an attitude of jealousy and likes to start arguments. Also in the background and past of this is the two of cups, which is a partnership of sorts. This tells me that either the reversed Knight of Wands had posed as a friend of Toni's, or had been involved with someone who was her friend. An element of abused partnership and trust exists. The Page of Cups appears as the motive, and I think it is what the killer wanted but did not get......some sort of gift, grant, or endorsement. Toni was seen as the Queen of Pentacles.......generous and rich, and someone thought they could get an affirmative answer from her about something, while she wanted to either think or ask others, first.

In the place of fears, we find the Tower. This card describes oppression and imprisonment, and is an appropriate fear for the perpetrator in a crime like this. The next card is the seven of wands, which tells us that the perpetrator is, for the moment, protected by privacy, both because he wasn't seen, and because no one has spoken up about any suspicions or de facto knowledge of the crime. This killer is hoping to move on, but for some reason, cannot do it right away without either being too obvious, or getting discovered. He has failed in his ambition, but is temporarily locked into the position he was in before he committed the murder. This is supported by the last card, which is the nine of cups, reversed. When the nine of cups falls reversed, it suggests plans that are not well thought out, and material losses. Look for someone who is either discreetly preparing to move residence, or sell his property.

Hopefully, Toni Yager's murder will be solved soon.

Who Killed Joshua Wayne Crawford?

On July2, 2003, twenty-one year old Joshua Crawford was found murdered in his Frederick, Maryland apartment. The murder has yet to be solved, so we will see what light the Tarot can shed.

I used a horoscope spread this reading, and the first house, of appearance and personality, is
represented by the Chariot, reversed. The message here is revenge. Egos had obviously been out of balance, and two parties, the victim and his killer, had not been able to find a middle ground. The card for the second house, money and possessions, is the ace of pentacles. This gives the murder a monetary slant. Some either took something material at the time of the murder, or had something financial to gain. When we move into the third house, of short journeys and communication, we find the seven of swords, reversed. When this card is upside right, it tells a tale of half measures and of taking things to which one has no right, but upside down, the meaning is good planning and success, albeit clandestine! Lungs and breathing are often indicated in this house, as, sometimes, are relatives and friends. So it appears that this murder was actually premeditated, by someone known to the victim.

The fourth house, of home environment, turns up the six of swords, reversed. The six of swords is a card of travel, but when it appears reversed, it tells of the opposite. I think this refers to Joshua's body being left behind, in his apartment. It may also be telling us that Joshua refused to budge on something, or "go along" with someone else's plans. In the fifth house, of creativity and pleasure, the nine of wands appears, and the message is simple: impatience. Children are also represented by the fifth house; did Joshua have children and child support issues? In the house of employment relationships and everyday affairs, we find the King of Swords, and as he is upside right, we will assume that he is kindly disposed toward Joshua. Court cards in the suit of swords are often law enforcement or lawyers, so did law enforcement find Joshua? Or did his employer report that he had not been to work? This is the person who either found Joshua, or set matters in motion in order to have him found.

In the seventh house, we have the seven of cups. This is the house of partnerships, marriage in particular, and of close relationships and public perception, The seven of cups tells us that Joshua was a bit of a dreamer, and possibly a romantic at times........but how this factors into his murder is curious......it is as if someone had written him off because of his dreams! The fallout from the death, itself, is represented in the eighth house by the six of pentacles, reversed. This is jealousy, but over material matters and money, rather than romance. The ninth house, of law, the "establishment", and, (ahem!) of long journeys, shows us the six of cups. The six of cups usually describes childhood memories and childhood friends. To see it here, in a reading about an unsolved murder, is disturbing, especially in the house of law and long journeys! The ninth house also governs education and criminal investigations, and I think this card is telling us that the murderer is someone who attended school at the same time as Joshua, and shared some childhood experiences. This person also sidestepped scrutiny and traveled at convenient times, and to this day, has not been looked at properly. The tenth house, career and social status, describes the killer with Strength, reversed. This is a person favors discord and abuses any position or opportunity that comes his way. In the eleventh house, we have Death, reversed. The killer's life is rather stagnant now, without much of a social life. His undoing appears to be lack of movement and inattention to details. I go out on a limb here, a bit, with a physical description, but I would expect him to be overweight, as well. The tenth and eleventh houses often describe feet, legs, and ankles, and both Strength and Death reversed tell a story of laziness. The twelfth house has the Hierophant, reversed. This is technology or a clue that is not standard in a murder investigation, but; nonetheless, plays a crucial role in investigating the crime. A secret makes it's way into the open in a very unorthodox way, and the murderer ends up surprised at his unlikely adversary. It is my opinion that he cannot hide forever, and that Joshua's murder will be solved one day.

Who Killed Mary Rachel Carson?

Time flies. It's been almost ten years since eighteen year old Mary Rachel Carson was murdered, and still not resolution. So I will see what the Tarot has to say about her case. This reading is a horoscope spread.

The card for the first house, which represents elements of the whole matter, is the ace of swords, reversed. This tells us of obstacles and snags, somewhere along the line, and a person with too much power. Following this in the second house, of possession.........who has what, and when.....is Judgement, reversed. Not only does this card often describe loss of possessions, but in reversal, it often speaks to a fear of death. So from the getgo, Ms. Carson a victim of someone who wanted something and had no problem with violence and murder, in order to take it. House three, relatives, memory, and short journeys, shows the three of pentacles, which is the card of the craftsman. In mundane terms, it would appear that the card is merely telling us that either the victim, the perpetrator, or a key witness was on his or her way to work. More on that later........

The Knight of Wands comes up, reversed, in the fourth house, which is the house of the home environment, also governing the last days of life. Interesting that a court card would appear here: when this knight is reversed, he is usually a youngish man in his twenties, and jealousy and covetous attitudes usually accompanies violence in scenarios involving this knight's reversals. Somehow, he was close to Ms. Carson's home environment. In the fifth house, love affairs, creative pursuits, and children, we find the three of swords, reversed. This screams that there was some sort of conflict involving those elements, between Ms. Carson and possibly, the Knight of Wands. The Devil, reversed, appears in the sixth house, which represents everyday things, such as work relationships, paying mundane bills, worry, and with whom the subject currently resides. Here, this card seems to be telling us about release from bondage, but by indecision followed by violence followed by cover-up. And it relates very directly to Ms. Carson, and her environs; it looks as if she and her killer may have known each other.

Moving on the the seventh house, of partnerships and close relationships, we have the High Priestess, which is a card of secrets. Something important, having to do with a marriage or a common law marriage was only known to the victim and her killer. The three of cups follows close on it's heels in the eighth house, the house of death, wills, joint finances, and probate. The three of cups, when it falls reversed, usually tells us that "all good things must come to an end", so it seems that we should look for someone who was able to benefit from Ms. Carson's death. In the ninth house, the house of law, the establishment, long trips, and protection, we have the four of pentacles. This is a card of clinging and hoarding, and this tells me that somehow, a legal entanglement involving the holding back of assets is at play here: the killer did not get everything he tried to get. Some information is still, somehow, tied up in probate, or there are unanswered questions.

In the tenth house, we have the Star, telling us that social status, such as it is to the perpetrator, was important at the time of the murder. His job, and his work relationships were more important than family his family. In the eleventh house, this is back up by the Moon, reversed. When the Moon falls reversed, I look for lies and false personas, and this time, it has fallen in the eleventh house, which rules not only hopes, wishes, and dreams, but friends and and social life! So....this person has been able, somehow, to keep the secret of the murder, and has not been accused by the justice system. He is not without an enemy, though. In the twelfth house, the house of subconscious secrets, institutions, self undoing, and secret adversaries, we find the King of Pentacles, reversed. This would be a man, probably over forty years of age, whose methods are not always "kosher". He has suspicions about the perpetrator's involvement in the murder, and is eagerly, but patiently waiting to bring the matter to light.

Search For William Tyrell

Three year old William Tyrell went missing over six months ago, so where is he, and what happened? We start out with the nine of cups, reversed, crossed by the five of swords. This is a message of revenge, in response to an imagined slight, or a "mistake" on someone's part, in some plan or process. Before this, the eight of swords, reversed, was the driving impetus. This has to do with removing one's self, or someone else, from a "trapped" position, and of gaining freedom. Somehow, these elements laid the groundwork for this child to disappear.

An event that led up to this is illustrated by the Page of Cups, which tells us that someone involved here had just begun something new in life, and was almost ready to announce and celebrate it. I often see this card in conjunction with a birth. But......not everyone shared the celebratory mood. The next card is the ten of swords, which is clearly a card of violence, and also a card I truly do not like to see in a missing person's reading. It is followed by more bad news, the six of wands, reversed. This is a card that often shows itself reversed when an enemy, or someone with criminal intent, finds a way to gain leverage. This card's presence is why I am leaning toward William's disappearance being deliberate, and not an accident.

The intentions of the perpetrator are shown by the four of pentacles, which is a card of the hoarder and miser. This is someone who has had setbacks, material and financial setbacks, and did not want someone close to William to enjoy new adventures or opportunities. It is also someone who does not like to share, and this time, the "feel" is that of a man in his thirties, or possibly early forties......I still say mid-thirties. It is followed by the ace of pentacles, reversed. This is public perception of the perpetrator's circumstances, and also the perpetrator's self image. The ace of pentacles reversed often refers not only to missed opportunities, but to crime, and money gotten through illicit means. A strong fear comes up as Judgment, reversed, which tells us that separation was, somehow, a motive for this crime. Sometimes, this card speaks to a fear of death, but as William is only three, I think this fear is on the part of the grownups. The last card is the six of swords, which is travel, often over water. While I see a lot of violence in this reading, and I see two cards that are often connected to murder, the ten of swords and reversed Judgment, and the reversed six of wands is almost always unfavorable news.......the six of swords is still a card of voyages. Maybe William can still be rescued. Swords point us east, and pentacles point us north. I will keep my fingers crossed.

What Happened To Tammy Mahoney?

Tammy Mahoney disappeared in 1981, and is presumed dead. Let's see if the Tarot can give us some ideas about her whereabouts and what happened to her.

The reading starts with the five of wands crossed by the page of swords. The five of wands is trickery; someone with key information has already played games with law enforcement and given deliberately misleading information. This person feels, somehow, more powerful, by withholding information. It's a bit like "owning" the situation. The incident in the past, leading up to this, involves traveling on a road that forked; the two of wands indicates a road that goes north/south for this. There is already a feeling that Tammy did not travel much further than the fork in the road. The next card is the Page of Pentacles. reversed. This indicates a difference of opinion Tammy had with someone, but to Tammy, it was not terribly important. Her companions that evening may have felt differently. The next card appears to describe a person involved in Tammy's disappearance. The Emperor, reversed, gives us an adult male who is immature for his age and possibly still lives at home......or at least, he did in 1981. The Emperor is usually an indication of a good father and a responsible man, but when it falls reversed, it often tells of a man who is not responsible for his children, and may owe child support for more than one child. Once again, this relates to this person's situation in 1981. The next card is the eight of wands, reversed. This is jealousy and arguments, as it falls reversed, but I am thinking that it may also be trying to tell us that "eight" is an important landmark or number.

The staff give is the four of cups, reversed, in the place of fears. Here we see, once again, that the perpetrator is afraid, for some reason, to move on productively in life and grow up. This card, reversed, in any other position in a reading would tell us that this person is content, but in this position, it means that he is afraid to relax and be content. The next card we have is the Lovers, reversed. This points us toward the situation when Tammy went missing. Usually, when this card appears reversed in a position describing the people around a situation or person, it tells of parents or a family who are not in favor or a person's choice of marriage or domestic partner. Somehow, this dynamic came into the picture, here, too. This is followed up by the ace of swords, reversed, in the place of desires. This is momentary, short lived power, and someone had made it a mission and a raison d`etre to "eliminate" Tammy. The only good news I see here is that the Knight of Cups, and man in his late thirties or early forties, is still looking for Tammy. The rest of the reading does not look promising; it appears as if Tammy was murdered, very likely shot, and buried somewhere off of a highway. Hopefully, she will be found soon.

What Happened To Robyn Pettinato?

Robyn Pettinato was last seen on July 5, 1975, in Whitefish, Montana. She was fourteen years old. Her family, reportedly, was very quiet about the subject after searches and investigations turned up nothing, so lets see what the cards can tell us.

We begin with Strength, reversed, crossed by the Queen of Wands. When Strength falls reversed, it usually tells a tale of abused authority. The Queen of Wands appears here as a strict, overbearing woman with a temper and a vicious streak. This is founded by a bad choice, described by the Fool, reversed. The Moon also appears in the background of this situation, telling us that secrets were kept from law enforcement by people who actually gave statements, but chose to omit key information. The Knight of Pentacles shows up in the realm of un-materialized possibilities; could he have been a love interest of Robyn's? Perhaps the subject of Robyn's encounter with "abused authority"? At the time, he was a young man between the ages of eighteen and twenty-two, or so.

The next card is the five of pentacles, reversed. This card is telling us that those involved in Robyn's situation did everything in their power to get the case closed and move on, without finding Robyn. It's almost as if someone in the picture has known Robyn's whereabouts all along. In the place of fears, we find the four of swords, reversed, which shows a perpetual fear of movement and activity in the case........what is desired is the situation described by this card in it's upright position: dormancy. Next, we have the four of pentacles, reversed. This describes obstacles and delays of some sort; were there obstacles in closing the case or in declaring Robyn dead? Another sidebar meaning of this card has to do with hoarding, but I cannot imagine what role hoarding would play here. The message is that someone waited and waited for a final decision about something until it was too late, and something was "hoarded" or clung to, until it could not be let go. The Knight of Wands appears as a gesture, or an appearance. It may have been speculated or rumored that Robyn left town with such a person, but if so, it was only rumor. This would not fit with the abuse we see in the beginning of the reading. It would fit with the deception that is described by the Moon. And the last card is the Empress. This card describes femininity and motherhood. Somehow, this was a factor in Robyn's disappearance. We are not told in the case history if Robyn was pregnant, but it seems that this idea may have had a bearing. It also appears that we are being told that Robyn was never far from home, as both of the cards with values of four appear in positions that often describe physical surroundings. Four is a Taoist number for family, and the fourth zodiacal house is the house of the "home", as in family. Sadly, I would not be surprised to find that the answers to Robyn's case can be found very close to home.

Okay, Where Is William Bradford Bishop Jr. Hiding?

To try a horoscope reading in a missing persons case, I decided to use the case of William Bradford Bishop, a former Maryland man who was once a secret service agent. He disappeared in March of 1976 after the brutal murder of his wife, mother, and three sons. Several months ago, there was a question as to whether or not Bishop had died in Alabama and been buried, unidentified, but this was not the case.

The first house, the house of personality, shows the five of pentacles reversed. Bishop was the type of person who unable to settle for something he did not consider ideal, and he also got bored easily with any type of "status quo". Also, while there is no talk of extramarital affairs, he was not above having one and hiding it. The second house, money and possessions, gives up the ten of swords. Not only did Bishop commit an act of violence, he effectively ended his claim to everything for which he had worked, thus far, in his life. The third house, that of communication and short journeys, gives us Temperance. Bishop had, apparently, planned this event more than anyone suspected, and his next moves and communications were with people who did not know who he actually is, and were unacquainted with his family. The next card bothers me a bit: in the fourth house of home and environment, the Lovers comes up! This is almost self explanatory. Bishop had a lover waiting in the wings. This not only gave him a cover, but gave him a false alibi.

In the fifth house, the house of children, creativity, and romantic relationships, the High Priestess reversed appears to tell us that Bishop is just as shallow now as he was while married. This also points to a strong possibility that he never told his new lover his real name. Secrets; unhealthy secrets. House number six reveals the two of swords, stalemating Bishop's health, somehow, and his day to day affairs. Somehow, keeping secrets was not always amenable to moving forward in life. The seventh house, marriage and partnerships, gives us the moon. This is desire, laced with deception. Anyone this man loved heard lies, not the truth. House number eight controls joint finances, wills, and matters connected to death, and here, we get the five of cups. It shows regret, plainly and simply. Also, there is a suggestion that there is something material that Bishop would like to claim, but unless he comes clean about his new identity, it remains unattainable to him. A direct, oppositional path to the ten of swords, where he became violent and ended his career as William Bradford Bishop, is very telling.

The ninth house, dealing with life on life's terms, and also with long journeys, shows Strength, reversed. Bishop's style, when met with opposition, was obviously to abuse whatever authority he had, or any person who stood in his way. But where did he go? Strength reversed usually refers stalled projects and things that go nowhere. It has been speculated that Bishop relocated to Europe, but if so, would be associated with a port or a harbor frequented by pirates and criminals. Human trafficking is also suggested when Strength falls reversed. He has spent a lot of time in seaside towns and seedy places.

The Knight of Wands comes up in the tenth house, of worldly status, reputation, and career. Under an identity that isn't real, Bishop has established himself as a businessman who is "always on the move". Also, fire is the element associated with wands, it's possible that he is somehow involved in shipping oil. Perhaps one of his haunts was in the middle east, at one point or another. The suggestion is that he is still active in his secondary career, too. In the eleventh house, that of hopes and wishes, we have the Sun, which is success in all undertakings. In Bishop's case, this is simply getting away with murder. The twelfth house, of subconscious, hospitals, and death, produces the four of pentacles, reversed. Here we see more obstacles and setbacks. It appears that a life of crime under a false identity, lived largely on the lam, does not have the best retirement plan. The four of pentacles is all about hoarding and saving when it falls upside right, but upside down, it screams "waste". Another thing that is addressed by the twelfth house is self-undoing. I believe this describes Bishop's own undoing to an extent: when Bishop committed his special crime in 1976, there was no such thing as DNA evidence. He left enough DNA of his own behind for authorities to create a profile for him. He left enough DNA at both crime scenes, his home in Maryland and the place in North Carolina where he hid his family after he murdered them, to place him at both. He obviously did not expect science to progress so quickly in the area of forensic application. So....Bishop will, one day, be identified.

Who Killed Tracy Lynn Kirkpatrick

On March 15, 1989, seventeen year old Tracy Kirkpatrick was found stabbed to death at her Frederick, Maryland part time job at a shopping center. My question for the cards is "who killed Tracy, and will there be justice?"

The first two cards here are Temperance, crossed by the two of swords. This shows that there was a harmonious partnership and combination in Tracy's life, and the two of swords is a card of temporary truces and stalemates, so this would hardly fit in with the scenario of harmony! Unless....someone was quietly waiting for mishaps or relationship problems, in order to influence Tracy's decisions. This gives us a basic backdrop, of sorts, for exchange that led to the murder.

We find the five of cups beneath this. This is rejection and disappointment, with the rejected party failing to look at anything else. It is also cited here as a motive. The next card is the Moon, which is mystery, betrayal, deceit, and actions carried out under the cover of darkness, both literal and figurative. The ace of swords follows of the heels of the Moon, and it describes force, lots of force, both in love and hatred. This card often appears in readings about subjects who have been stabbed. Following this, we have the Hierophant. The Hierophant is the card of the conformist, and here, I think we are being told that the murderer is someone who can conform very well, and pretend to be an upstanding member of society. He has the "cover" of social approval, and over twenty-six years, has not had one worry about accountability. Not one.

The state of the investigation right now is described by the Fool, the card of beginnings. This gives us all an idea of where the investigation of Tracy Kirkpatrick's murder actually sits. It has not actually taken any direction, toward any viable suspect, and this suspect is still at large. The card which is given to describe public opinion, and the surrounding details of investigators, themselves, is the eight of pentacles, reversed. This is no surprise. When the eight of pentacles falls reversed, it speaks of lackluster work done by lazy, untalented people. The seven of swords reversed in the place of hopes shows us a snapshot of Tracy's community hoping that someone competent will one day start the process for justice in this case. The last card is the eight of cups, showing that justice will be delayed indefinitely unless the community gives the police in Maryland a lot of pressure to make an arrest.
