Phoenix Coldon

 

Phoenix Coldon, twenty-three, disappeared in St. Louis, Missouri, in December of 2011. Disappointingly, there has not been a lot of media coverage for her, so I will do a reading.

 

Immediately, I see a conflict of sorts between an older man with a fatherly interest in Phoenix and a younger, less experienced, more romantic man. The reading gave me the Knight of Cups crossed by the Emperor as a start. These have both played roles in Phoenix's life; and I believe the Emperor is her father. There is a background of childish or unrealistic expectations here, meeting stern reality, shown by the six of cups founding this matter. This father also has always seen more possibilities for his daughter, and wanted better for her. This is what his perspective has always been.

 

The four of pentacles appears as a recently passed event. This card, reversed, represents material setbacks. It also tells us that key information was given "a day late and a dollar short". The event that this information would describe is represented by the Knight of Swords. This knight can either be a person, message, or an event, and in this position, it appears to be an event. Sadly, the Knight of Swords is all about force and destruction. But how would such elements have come into Phoenix's life? Something that was becoming important to Phoenix at the time she disappeared is the ace of wands, which is a new adventure or enterprise. She either had an opportunity, or had been offered an opportunity, that somehow threatened a young man in her surroundings. The description, so far in the reading, is of a young man who felt that her emotional and material investments should be in him, or in things that were close to that with which he is familiar.

 

The Page of Pentacles appears in the place of fears. This is a dark haired, dark eyed girl or boy, and often a scholarship. In this position, I think it could be both. This represents Phoenix. Next, we have the nine of swords, reversed. This is a card of imprisonment, coming up in the place of environment, and refers to the place she was hidden, and the feelings of the perpetrator. The card would point ever so slightly to the east, as it is reversed, and perhaps speak of places that are desolate, abandoned, and not often frequented. The Queen of Pentacles appears in the place of hopes, and I think this is a woman connected to Phoenix who is hoping to find her. The sad final outcome here, is Justice, reversed. Not only does this illustrate the ineffective manner in which the media has publicized this case, and the fact that Pjhoenix has not been found, it also tells us that what has happened here was not the natural way of Phoenix's path, and that she was actually meant to take advantage of the opportunities life offered her.

 

 

 

Daniel James O'Keefe

Daniel James O'Keefe went missing in Australia on July 15 of 2011. To the left are four pictures of how he looked at different times during his adult life. I was asked to do a reading for him, so I will see what I can find out. Asking "What happened to James and where is he?", I got this: the Hierophant crossed by the six of swords...this speaks of a person or situation involving unorthodox lifestyles and actions, and the six of swords here is merely a long journey. The message is that there was generally an aura of unorthodoxy involved in this young man's life. He was not one to bow to tradition, and occasionally too chances and risks that others would not have taken. Beneath this, we have the two of wands, which is the planning stage of his last undertaking. While he may have been alone when he disappeared, there was somehow room for at least one more person.

Behind this, we get the three of pentacles, reversed. This is a bad card to see if the question is about craftsmanship, and I am surprised to see it here, since the reading is not about how James earned a living. And....it is immediately followed by the eight of pentacles, reversed, another "tradesman" card! That card is the card of the apprentice, and when it falls reversed, it tells of someone who is unskilled or untalented at the lower levels of the chosen field. So this aspect very obviously plays a role. The next card we have is the Sun, reversed. I think that is a message of a voided contract in connection to matters professional in James's life....and perhaps some anger as a result! It can also mean a voided engagement, but the message so far has been about business, rather than romance.

The moon, reversed, falls in the place of fears. This is deception and bad timing. It is followed by the Chariot, reversed, in the place of environment. This has to do with a collapse of a project, often due to polar opposites unable to meet in the middle and work together. That card is reiterated by the two of pentacles, reversed, which tells of inability to manage two situations at once.....but sometimes this card refers to communication, such as cell phones or emails. I think authorities need to take a closer look at each and every phone number that appears in James's cell phone logs immeidately prior to his disappearance, and at the senders and recipients of all emails going to and from his email addresses.

The reading ends with the nine of cups. This is a card of material well-being. I must wonder if there were any insurance policies out on James......Look to someone who has a comfortable amount of security and resources for answers.

Maura Murray

Maura Murray disappeared in New Hamphsire, after a car accident, in February of 2004. Nine years later, no one has found her. Someone asked me to see what the Tarot has to say, so here is a reading. The ace of swords, reversed, crossed by the five of cups describes what happened to Maura. The ace reversed often speaks of too much power leading to obstacles, and in mundane, or physical reality, it could mean too much power in a car or other machine was applied, causing other problems. The five of cups simply refers to that which was left behind. Also, I think may be telling us that there was a bridge that was somehow important back in February of 2004.

The seven of wands appears in the distant past, telling us that privacy has somehow become an issue, and that certain searches will not be carried out and information and questions will not be shared or answered with proper warrents and due process of law. Also in the past, we find the Empress, who is the "mother" in the Tarot, and she represents an event that took place in relation to the disappearance, itself. Marriage and fertility are matters relating to the Empress, sometimes, also, fertile land for farms and fields.

The Fool appears as a possibility, reversed. Upright, he would be telling us that someone is ready to reopen the case and start looking in new places for Maura, but reversed, he says that no one is interested in new ideas to solve her case or find her. Another card that comes up is the King of Swords, which represents authority, law enforcement, and sometimes military affairs. Since the card is upright, I will assume he is kindly disposed toward Maura and interested in helping her come home. Perhaps a military engineer or someone involved in law enforcement actaully will find Maura's remains or clues and insist upon follow-up.

The four of wands, reversed, comes up in the place of fears and negative feelings. This card speaks of happy celebrations, such as weddings, even in reversal. Could Maura have wandered to a park, or an abandoned place where such events were once held? Once again, as in the five of cups, we have a "castle", or a big building that is prominent on the property, on this card. For the current environment, we have the six of wands, reversed, which tells of the delay of an actual search in the right place. Possibly....back to the Empress.....could she have created the delay? The eight of pentacles appears reversed in the place of fears, highlighting a worry about the ability to make money and work if a search were to take place, and we conclude with the King of Cups, reversed, who represents scandals, coverups, and lies.

The situation which led to Maura's disappearance may well have not been deliberate, but for some reason, a deliberate coverup involving a woman of childbearing years and a man old enough to run a business has taken place. These two individuals have stopped anyone from finding this young woman.

Delaware Murder Mystery

 

In a 1993 story from Delaware, a murder victim, with no identification, was discovered along I 95 in Delaware is still unidentified twenty years later. He was Asian or Native American, 5' 10", around 140 lbs., and his slacks were a size 28 waist. He had long black hair.......shoulder length, and perfect teeth, but was an heavy smoker. The tip of his ring finger on his right hand had been surgically amputated, and the nail of his pinky finger on his left hand was slightly longer than the rest of his nails. Above is an artist's sculpture of how he may have looked. I will ask the Tarot what happened to him.

We start with the six of pentacles, reversed, crossed by the Knight of Pentacles. It would appear that our Knight had a unpaid debt of some sort. The pictures above are almost perfect Knight of Pentacles pictures......dark hair, brown eyes. This person would also have been the type to move slowly toward a goal, rather than quickly. As a cause, or foundation to the matter at hand, we have the Wheel of Fortune, reversed. This could either be a turn of bad luck, out of the Knight's control, or on a more mundane and literal level, a gambling issue. Perhaps both. Behind him was a woman, the Queen of Pentacles reversed, who could not be trusted. Somehow, she played a role in his murder. Her physical description would be similar to his in that she has(d) dark hair and dark eyes. She was not very kindly disposed toward him, and it was his mistake to trust her. The Fool describes what should have happened here, but didn't. There was a choice our Knight could have made that would have saved his life somehow, either by getting him out of harms way, or by removing his killers. But he allowed matters to continue. The High Priestess follows this card, telling us that there is still at least one person out there who knows what happened, but is not talking. The High Priestess also reiterates the feminine influence.

The four of pentacles, a card of hoarding, comes up in the place of fears and worries. This is what the Knight was doing before he got killed......holding onto something material that someone felt he owed him or her. In the place of environment, we have Temperance, reversed. This points to a toxic mixture of personal and business affairs which were not compatible. In the place of his hopes, we have the six of cups, which speaks of childhood memories. Note that this is the second six to appear in the reading; a possible correlation between monetary unpaid loans and investments, and children and childhood memories. Perhaps the two were connected in his life. The last card is the ten of pentacles, which is a loss of family honor or inheritance. I think this Knight's family, should we ever find out who they are, knows exactly what happened.
