Jessica Runions

Twenty-one year old Jessica Runions, of Raymore, Missouri, has not been seen since September 8. Her vehicle was found, burned, near Kansas City. The last person to see Jessica alive is now in custody for burning her vehicle, and he is also the last person reported to have seen Kara Kopetsky alive, nine years ago. I recently got a comment asking me about these cases, specifically for a reading about Jessica Runions, so I will see what the Tarot has to say.

We begin with the Knight of Wands, reversed, crossed by the four of pentacles, which is also read reversed, here. The reversed Knight of Wands is a jealous, violent type of man, usually in his twenties. When the four of pentacles falls reversed in a reading, it usually tells of material setbacks and monetary loss. So this is the situation surrounding the young man: money problems. Beneath this, we find the ten of cups. I think this is his perception of Jessica's situation. There was something he wanted from her, to the point of coveting it. Next, and also in the past, the Knight of Cups appears. He is a romantic, personable young man, also in his twenties, who was more kindly disposed toward Jessica than the the Knight of Wands.

Somehow, if law enforcement and the judicial system misses a detail, there is a chance of justice not being served in this case. Justice appears, reversed, in the place of possibilities. This suspect does have something to offer in terms of solving the case, but he is well practiced at perverting justice. In the place of things that will happen, we get the ace of cups, reversed, which is instability. Gaining cooperation from this suspect will be difficult.

The four of cups, reversed, shows in the place of fears. The suspect is unworried about any evidence that has been found. In the place of environment, we have the Devil, reversed. This refers to the burned condition of Jessica's vehicle when it was found, and it also warns that testimony from any witnesses, including the suspect, is going to have to be considered very carefully. In the place of hopes, we have the Moon, which is a hope on the part of the suspect. He lies, and counts on Jessica not being found. Curiously, it is the fifth card in this reading that has contained a reference to water. While Jessica's car was burned, water seems to have played a role, here, as well. Water may have been used to hide evidence.

The last card almost takes the reading in another direction. It is the three of wands, and this card usually describes a joint effort. This means that the suspect either had help, or has what are called "accomplices after the fact". Someone drove him from one location to another, and knows about Jessica, or someone went as far as taking Jessica to another location for him. Law enforcement should be looking for accomplices, rather than only focusing on the man who has been arrested. To find Jessica, the ace of cups and the four of cups to point us west; but they are reversed. I would still be inclined to look west, and near water. We also have the four of pentacles pointing us north. The cards that suggest which Jessica may not be found alive are the Knight of Wands in reversal, because he has a violent temper, and the Devil. I always hope I am wrong in such an assessment. Because of the cocky nature of this suspect, it seems that his involvement in other crimes, such as Kara Kopetsky's disappearance, should be investigated.

Arrest In Lisa Irwin Case?

Some recently asked me to do a reading about whether or not there would be an arrest in the case of missing Lisa Irwin, who was reported missing from her Kansas City, Missouri home on Oct. 4, 2011. Lisa was ten months old at that time, she would be almost two years ol now. There have been no arrests, and the only solid clue in this case was a hit by a cadaver dog in the bedroom of the home where she went missing.

This begins with the Devil, crossed by the seven of cups. This is domination of matter over spirit, and it is crossed by too many different directions and vague stories. Someone has deliberately shifted the focus away from actually finding Lisa from the very beginning. For background, we get the four of cups, reversed, which is good news, as an answer to this question. It means that someone involved in the investigation is willing to take a new approach. Matters moving into the past here are represented by the six of pentacles, reversed, which speaks to dishonest dealings involving money, and money gotton through very questionable means. The six of wands appears as something that can happen, and this card refers to good news. It can also mean finding something that has been lost. Unfortunately, an element that is already very much a part of this situation is Justice, reversed. Not only has someone involved lied, but right now, the investigation is off balence. It seems there the effort to find Lisa has evaporated into an effort to prosecute one person, and ignore the accomplices and accomplices after the fact.

In the place of fears, we have the ace of wands. The ace of wands here represents Lisa being found, and the good news of justice being carried out, and we find it as a fear, so I am going to assume that this represents the mindset of the perpetrator. The next card, representing environment, is Death, reversed. Nothing has changed for Lisa. She has been in the same place for quite some time. As a hope, we have Strength. This tells us that the perpetrator is going to hold out as long as he/she can. And as a final outcome, we have the Page of Swords, reversed. This can be a person, possibly a "snitch", who is waiting for his or her own convenience to come forward, or it can be an unforseen event that is not favorable to the whoever last saw Lisa Irwin alive.

Sadly, I do not see an arrest in this reading anytime soon. The tarot is notorius for not giving the best time frames, but as the six of wands did appear as a possibility, perhaps about six months. Hopefully sooner....maybe six weeks.

Lisa Irwin Update

It's been awhile since I have updated my readings about Lisa Irwin, the Kansas City ten month old who disappeared either very late on October 3, 2011, or very early the following day. I went ahead and found a picture of her, but one thing to keep in mind is that children at that age change quickly as they grow, and if Lisa Irwin is still alive, she does not look like she does in this picture anymore.

My question for the Tarot is "why hasn't Lisa Irwin been found?" The first three cards, representing the past, are the King of Swords, the Knight of Cups, reversed, and the Queen of Pentacles, reversed. These are three adults, and it surprises me that no one has talked yet. The King of Swords is an adult male involved in law in some way or another, and the Knight of Cups reversed is a young man, less mature than the King, who is completely dishonest. Upright, he is a messenger who tells the truth, but reversed, this card almost always tells us that a liar is in the picture. Next, we have the Queen of Pentacles, reversed, and she is an emotional, irrational, selfish, not-so-nice, evil woman. These are the people who have helped cover this baby's whereabouts. The King here may not have helped on purpose, but he was either used by the two other individuals, or he accidently made the wrong choice about how to go about solving this case. I think he is a policeman.

The next three cards represent the present, and they are the Emporer, the Queen of Wands, and the six of swords, reversed. This is interesting: the Emporer is the card that tells of the "father" presence or the "father" influence, and I was, and still am, convinced that Lisa's father is the reversed Knight in the above paragraph. So who is this Emporer? Could the reversed Knight be ready to go straight on us, and start cooperating with law enforcement? It might be on the table, somehow. The Queen of Wands is a woman who somehow has an influence here, and she was not a part of the past, but is new on the scene, and new to the case. She is very determined to solve this case. Now; the next card bothers me, but is not a surprise; the six of swords reversed. Upright, this is a card of travel. Reversed, it means the opposite, which also means that Lisa has been in the same place for a very long time.

For the future, we have the three of cups, reversed, the four of swords, and Strength. The three of cups tells of a situation involving too much substance abuse, too much celebrating....excesses in general. So somehow, drinking and substance abuse continue to be an issue in keeping Lisa hidden vs. finding her. The next card is the four of swords, which is a card of rest, or dormancy. I think the message here is that the case has stalled for now, and is "dormant". Strength is the last card, and one of it's literal meanings has to do with trumping "carnal" inclinations, such as substance abuse. Something else that came to me is the picture on that card: a woman petting a tamed lion. I think it is possible that Lisa may be found one day by someone walking a dog, or chasing down a pet cat! Completely by accident!

My last question was "where is Lisa?", and I drew the Lovers, reversed. This card has to do with couples, choices, and water is also a symbol on this card. I think it is directing us to look at all three of those things. A couple who made a terrible choice, and water as part of the picture, somehow.

Disturbing Story About A Fake Psychic

Stories like this disturb me. Nancy Annette Marks, of the Kansas City area, actually took advantage of another person's ebbs in life, to the tune of thousands of dollars. Someone who was looking for suggestions and creative advice successfully got her fears and superstitions played upon, instead. And the client probably didn't even get the advice she sought!

Two things really stand out, here. First of all, one reading; or in some cases that are heavily laden with circumstances and factors, two or three readings, should be enough. A client should not need multiple readings for the same question.....especially over a period of years. If a psychic is doing large numbers of readings for the same question, and unable to deliver an answer, either the psychic has gotton an answer that the client does not want, or the psychic has not really gotton an answer. Either way, this is unsettling. Second; no psychic should ever play on another person's fears. Nancy Annette Marks actually told a woman that she was "cursed", (I'll bet she wasn't!) and that paying her (Ms. Marks) large sums of money would somehow "protect" the woman from the "curse"! No psychic should ever play on someone's fears. It just isn't nice.

Another disturbing factor in Nancy Annette Marks's career is the message a that client could buy his or her way out of life's circumstances; specifically, that if clients paid her a certain amount, evil spirits would look eleswhere for "victims". Or that circumstances in life are caused by "evil spirits". (the "evil spirits" idea is gonna have to be a whole other post.......at a different time; I doubt if Marks would recognize ANY spirit, even if it bit her posterior protrusion!) When she found people who were vulnerable enough to play her game, she would take advantage of them financially, encouraging them to believe they could somehow buy their way out of their own choices in life and individual fates. This is unethical, dishonest, and wrong, wrong, wrong.  Here is a quote from the above linked article, from KCTV; "The session actually ended by her convincing me that I had a curse on me and some evil spirit that was brought on my family and me when I was little and it's gonna stick around and not ever let me have peace in my life and be passed to my children.".......This was said by one of Marks's former clients. If any psychic, psychologist, minister, or doctor ever says something like that, it's time to move on.
