Tirell Ocobock Murder

Tirell Ocobock was found murdered in April of 1976, in Topeka, Kansas. She had been beaten to death. The ony witness was a small brown dog she had been walking, who was taken to an animal shelter. My question was, "Who killed Tirell and why?" This reading starts with the Queen of Cups, upside down, crossed by the Emperor. In and of itself, this is an interesting combination; the reversed queen here is dishonest, manipulative, and emotionally perverse...the Emperor is a father figure. But who are these two in relation to Tirell's murder? The Page of Pentacles appears reversed as a possible cause; here we have a young person, possibly a student, whose ideas are a bit unrealistic and at odds with those around him or her. The ten of swords also appears as an event in the past, and this is not only violence, but a power posturing gesture of sorts. Someone who knew Tirell's route that morning was waiting for her, or following her, and there ensued a situation that involved strong-arming for some reason. This card is followed by the reversed ten of pentacles, the second "ten" in a row to appear reversed. The ten of pentacles reversed refers to a lost inheritance. So a man who was significantly older than Tirell and a woman felt that family property or family honor was somehow threatened by Tirell. Next, we have another card from the suit of swords: the seven of swords. There was a feeling that Tirell had something that was not hers, and by the process of violence, the perpetrators took something that was not theirs.

The motive for this crime is represented by the ten of wands, reversed. So we have another upside down "ten"! This card tells of lawsuits and duplicity, and also of legal losses. This was on the minds of the persons who committed the murder, and was part of the general picture. There was a threat, somehow, somewhere; presented to the material well-being of a family by the presence of Terell. Strength appears in the environment.....this murder was committed by persons who honestly felt that what they were doing was right. Also, the public perception of the perpetrators is one of "they would never be involved in a crime", so the investigation stalled, partly because law enforcement was looking for known violent criminals rather than sleuthing through Tirell's affairs in search of a motive. In the place of hopes and fears, the Page of Swords reversed comes up. We have an accessory after the fact who knows who murdered Tirell and why. This person was young enough to be one of Tirell's peers in 1976. The final outcome is the nine of pentacles, reversed. This speaks of a loss of friendship or a loss of a home. It would appear that the murder did not truly protect the Queen of Cups and the Emperor, after all.

It really looks as if this murder was committed by two people, a man and a woman; and it also looks as if they knew Tirell, and planned the murder in advance. It was done to protect a family's resources or reputation, and the perpetrators got away with it because no thorough investigation was performed, examining all links to Tirell, her life, and her future.

Richard "Cody" Haynes

When Richard Cody Haynes disappeared from his home in Washington, he was eleven years old, so the picture on the right is age progressed. Anyone with direct knowledge of his whereabouts should contact the FBI.

We start with the four of cups, reversed, crossed by the seven of pentacles. The four of cups, when reversed, speaks of new relationships. The seven of pentacles is the card of the Farmer. It tells of hard work, leading to eventual harvest, and sometimes of barter. Was farming ever a part of Cody's life?

Beneath this is the ten of pentacles, which is a card of financial gifts and inheritances that are not necessarily earned, per se. Material property, or collateral, was, in some way, a part of this situation. A problem that faced someone involved is the six of swords, reversed. A problem was perceived, and it was also perceived that there was no solution. Cody's disappearance was an attempt, as we see in the Tower, reversed, crowning this, to overthrow something, or to completely change some sanction involving property or money. The next card is the King of Pentacles, reversed. This is a man who was involved. He is dishonest and cares nothing about Cody.

The first card on the staff is the nine of wands, which tells us that this king we saw earlier had patiently planned this, and has recourses to defend himself. In the place of environment, we see the three of pentacles, reversed. He has a trade, possibly as a cover, and is seen by others as mediocre at this trade. As a hope, or a motive, we get the ace of pentacles, which is an opportunity or a sum of money collected at once. The nine of swords comes up as the final outcome, which is a card of imprisonment.

I do not actually see a death, or a violent death, in this reading. The nine of swords is very troubling, however; because of it's position as the final outcome. The pentacles in this reading point us north, and the Tower, as a physical feature of landmark, is a dilapidated building or house. If Cody is deceased, he was held against his will somewhere for quite while before it happened, yet it somehow seems as if he may still be alive, and falsely imprisoned somewhere.

Why Is The Skylar Neese Case Stalled?

Someone recently asked me for an update to readings I have done in the past for Skylar Neese. While I do not feel that there is anything I can add to what the cards have already revealed, perhaps I can muse over the question of why this case seems to have stalled.

I have three cards for the past, and those are Death, the High Priestess, and the King of Cups. Death tells us immediately, from the beginning, that there are circumstances that are not under the control of any person, at this point. The High Priestess represents secrets. There have been some leads; simply no one has made the information public. Together, these two cards would take us northwest. The next card I have for the past is the King of Cups. He is an intelligent man, and his role in this situation is favorably disposed toward Skylar. I think he is someone who is trying to find her.

For the present, I drew the five of cups, the ten of swords, reversed; and the Hanged Man, also reversed. The five of cups says that there are clues or factors which have not yet been taken into account. The ten of swords refers to power plays, or posturing. And when the Hanged Man falls reversed, this indicates an unwillingness to sacrifice something....be it information or evidence. I really think there is a "game" of sorts occuring at this point in time between authorities, witnesses, and suspect(s). This would certainly explain the lull in movement here.

The future gives us the eight of pentacles, the Chariot, and Judgement, reversed. The eight of pentacles is the element of career skills, in this case, law enforcement skills, applied in solving the case. The Chariot is the ability to bring the testimony and the evidence together, explain and correct the conflicts between the testimony and the forensic evidence, and move forward. Judgement coming up reversed as the last card does not bode well for the reading. I think that someone with evidence is planning to hold out as long as he/she can. I also think that eventually, there will be a resolution, but it will fail the hopes of many people involved.

Madison Michelle Scharff

Madison Michelle Scharff has been missing from Emporia, Kansas since January 25.  she is sixteen years old, and the police have catagorized this as a runaway case. So I will do a basic Celtic Cross reading, asking about the situation, and the significant details that may hep to answer the the questions of why she disappeared, and where she went.

The basis we have is the five of pentacles, reversed, crossed by the Fool. Often, when the five of pentacles falls reversed, it tells of new romantic interests, and of lovers who do not have a place to meet. And this is crossed by the Fool, the card of brand new opportunities! I think we can safely guess that Maddy may have had a love interest. This is founded by the Queen of Cups, reversed. This is a woman who has been a rather bad influence of Maddy, and encouraged her to make choices that bring her into conflict with others in her life. To make matters more confusing for this poor girl, there is also the reversed Queen of Pentacles in the recent past of this situation, and this is a moody woman who is not always willing to share her time or resources, yet wants Maddy to fulfil various obligations. Inasmuch as Maddy is concerned, things are not always fair.

The two of pentacles crowns this, giving the option of communication at some future point, but the information given at Maddy's end will not be as complete as those who are looking for her would like. The seven of cups appears as an event in the near future, and this represents an influx to way too many choices or ideas that are not well thought out.

The Knight of Cups, reversed, appears in the place of causes for Maddy's disappearance, and as a possible player here. As he falls reversed, he is ultimately not a positive factor. A court card is the suit of cups is usaully a person who lies, and as cups corrospond to water, emotions, and affairs of the heart, one of the things about which this Knight may be dishonest is romantic intent. The Empress appears reversed in the place of home, and home environment, and indicates a relationship with a maternal figure, or the mother, which is strained and not terribly positive. The seven of swords in the place of hopes and fears tells us that the relationship indicated where the Empress appeared has brought on fears of being "too hard", or "more than someone can handle". As a final outcome, we get the four of cups, which is discontent. Hopefully, all parties will be able to find a compromise, and Madison Michelle Scharff can be listed as "found safe".
