Beneath this, we have the five of swords, which is a card of extreme anger and revenge. Somehow, a person responisible for Jersey felt personal resentment toward her, and one of the reasons is revealed in the next card, which is the three of pentacles, reversed. There was a sense that having a child that age was an obstacle to employment opportunties, and to resources in general. Death, reversed, represents stagnation, and unchanging circumstances. It also tells us that this child was always in a certain amount of danger. The next card is the three of wands, reversed. Whoever killed this little girl had an accomplice, as this card speaks of assistance and help, but reversed, the help is untrustworthy. It looks to me as if one party to Jersey's murder will betray the other. Another meaning we get from this card when it falls reversed is physical suffering and domination of a victim. Sadly, abuse played a role in this child's death.
The Page of Swords appears in the place of fears. This is someone who has already given false testimony to law enforcement, while knowing exactly what happened. It is also one accomplice who scares the other accomplice very much. In the place of environment, we get the four of wands, reversed. This is usually a card of celebration, sometimes family celebration. Reversed, the meaning does not really change that much, except that it sometimes means celebrations cut short, or happiness, but not perfect. This describes a life cut short, and speaks to Jersey's innocence. It also hints at the home and family environment where she was found, even though the home was empty. Following this, in the place of hopes, we have The High Priestess, reversed. This gives a feminine aura to the situation, and tells us that Jersey was hoping for maternal assistance that never came, hence the reversal. And the final card is the Queen of Swords, reversed. This a an intolerant, angry woman who shares responsibility in Jersey's fate.
